The International Relations Secretariat is pleased to announce that, the Ghana Mission in Benin has finally agreed to transport Ghanaian students of French from Benin at the full cost of the Mission.
This follows an earlier decision by the Mission to shelve that cost. Transportation to and from Benin is not borne by the Mission but the persistent and consistent plea from some students in Benin and the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has touched the soft spot of the Mission to rescind their earlier decision. This news was broken to the leaders of the three schools which have their students of French there. Namely, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Ghana (UG) and Ghana Institute of Languages (GIL) when they went to the Embassy on Monday, 16th June, 2014 for the final decision.
On behalf of all students in Benin and Ghana, we wish to thank the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Mission in Benin and all stakeholders who through their efforts have chalked this successful feat for our dear brothers and sisters in Benin.
They are scheduled to get to Ghana on the 28th June, 2014.
