ADVOCATE FOR INCREMENT AND EXPANSION IN THE STUDENT LOAN TRUST FUND

Established with a vision to provide eligible Ghanaian students equal access to tertiary education,the students loan trust fund has benefitted a number of Ghanaian students over the years.

However, numerous complains have also been raised in respect to the maximum amount one can apply for and the scope of coverage. Many private university students have and are still complaining bitterly about their inability to access this loan to fund their education.

This to a large extent defeats the purpose for which the fund was set up since private university students are equally Ghanaian Students.

We will therefore advocate for an expansion so as to serve the larger proportion of Ghanaian tertiary students.

We will also call for an increment in the amount due each student since the current amount is unable to substantially fund one's education at the tertiary level.
