AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL HEALTH ASSOCIATIONS/STUDENTS

The leadership of the National Health Students Association of Ghana (NAHSAG) wishes to acknowledge receipt of the various complaints from all constituents on the numerous challenges confronting them.

Among such challenges are;

 1. Non-Posting of Graduates from the various schools of Hygiene since their completion in 2011/2012 with all the subsequent graduates stranded at home.

 2. Recent Posting challenges encountered by the 2013/2014 graduates from the various Nursing,  Midwifery and health training colleges across the nation after completion of all the necessary registration processes.

3. High rate of UNEMPLOYMENT amongst Graduate nurses and most Allied health professionals.

 4. EXORBITANT school fees and noninvolvement of student leaders in the setting of school fees of the various health institutions.

5. Challenges facing students on the university of Ghana College of Health Sciences,  Korle-bu Campus as a result of the ongoing industrial action (Strike) by FUSAG Korle-bu for over four (4) months now.

6. Challenges in the biometric registration and delay/inequitable disbursement of health trainees allowance to the various beneficiaries.

💉We wish to assure all our members that, we are very much aware of most of the concerns which we are working hand in hand with the appropriate authorities to get relief for all members.

For the challenges which were recently brought to our attention, we assure all members that we shall as a matter of urgency take swift actions to rectify them.

 However we call on all STRAY GROUPS to cease fire and entrust this task unto us as we work together with GNMTA and all the other Blocs to ensure that these problems are resolved.

 Details of all the necessary steps and actions plans shall be duly communicated to all members through the various leaderships.
