The continental students' movement- All Africa Students Union on Friday 1st August awarded H. E. Uhuru Kenyatta Africa's President of the year 2014 at this year's Africa Education and Leadership Awards held at the Coconut groove Regency Hotel in Accra Ghana. The ceremony that saw over 230 students from 25 African countries also honoured other outstanding persons and organisations.
HE Olusegun Obasanjo- Africa's Statesman of the decade
Government of Ghana- Africa's Most supportive Government to AASU
Africa's National Student Union of the year- Rwanda National Students Union(FAGER)
Comrades Farai Mteliso and Varney Alieu Jarsey- Africa's Student Activists of the year
Hon. Kwame E. Ross- AASU Alumnus of the Year
University of Professional Studies- Africa's Fastest Growing University of the Year
Edem Agbana- Africa's Most Enterprising Student(Male)
Irene Kendi- Africa's Most Enterprising Student(Female)
Honorary Awards were also conferred on:
