Half work done has no pay, so some say, and from where am coming from today I won't agree less.
Last year almost around this time, I witnessed the birth of a new thing in the history of NUGS, the Ghana Students Discount card.
I monitored the growth of this new innovation with keen interest, hoping that it will be one of the greatest thing to hit students of our dear nation.
Months after months, disappointments started setting in as most of the partners are withdrawing their discount services. I wouldn't blame them that much.
Of-course nobody goes into a business to run at a loss. With a low patronage of GSD services, we wouldn't expect the partners to keep partnering. Like they say one good turn deserves another.
My humble appeal to our student leaders is to revisit the idea that gave birth to the GSD, make it more attractive for both students and partners and get it working again. I am very confident that am not alone in this, and all who benefited in anyway from the GSD card will testify about it significance.
