The attention of my office, National Service Personnel Association, (NASPA) has been drawn to a number of issues, the most prevalent ones which I would want to address is
1. A purported Strike which was signed under my hand
2. A supposed group with a tag " CONCERN SERVICE PERSONNEL OF GHANA"
first and foremost, there has never been any National Executive Committee conclave that seeks to address the service persons allowance issue with the unperspicacious approach of embarking on a strike, and entreat service persons to continue in their normal good working attitudes which are unmeasurable to the National Development of this country.Notwithstanding, service persons should take my word that they will be paid by the close of next week taken into consideration the hard work we have put in.
Secondly, the emergence of a certain group that seek to address the concerns of service persons, they might not be liable to mens rea since I can deduce their positive intent, but is forlorn to the tune of a breach of procedural and administrative protocol, the amended Constitution of our able and vibrant association which was signed under my seal in May, makes the association the official mouthpiece of the plethora of service persons accross the country and service persons are mandated to send grievances to their district executives for attention, to the regional and if not solved, then the apex, NATIONAL NASPA.
The association frown on the activities of the group, however in the unlikely event that it is an orchestrated attempt by certain people to get known by its people in order to climb to the leadership of Naspa, they should revisit their notes, we are governed by a constitution and any such aspirant should live within the tenets of the rule of law.
EKOW VINCENT
NATIONAL NASPA PRESIDENT
