NUGS Stands for National Union of Ghana students.
The one at the campus level is called the LOCAL NUGS..

The local NUGS is made up of the following;

Local NUGS is part of the executive council of the SRC.

FUNCTIONS OF LOCAL NUGS

✔The core mandate of the local NUGS, shall be to oversee the external affairs of the SRC and shall perform other functions.

✔Undertake assigned programs and activities of the SRC for the WELFARE and GENERAL GOOD of students including liaising with the relevant bodies for the processing and disbursement of students loans.

✔Liaise between the SRC and national Secretariat of NUGS.

✔Be responsible for the dissemination of information to and from the national NUGS.

NUGS and SRC are not enemies as students and Administration like to think. Rather NUGS and SRC, our common enemy, is the LEADER who abuses the rights and takes advantage of the interests of students.. That is our common ENEMY..!!! And not ourselves!!!!

NUGS and SRC we are a team!!

NUGS and SRC, our ultimate goal is to protect and safeguard the RIGHTS AND INTERESTS of students.
