KNUST TO GO BIOMETRIC

Finally, KNUST has accepted biometric verification for SRC elections. I hope you don't encounter the problems our national elections had! But as students of the law, let's analyze the legal issues here.

1. Who is to manage this biometric elections, SRC EC or the Dean of students?

2. If the latter is correct, is the elections legal since the SRC constitution expressly states that the SRC EC is responsible for the conduct of all SRC elections.

3. Does the Judicial committee have the power to sit on any dispute in relation to this elections

should any dispute arise since the DOS is not subject to the jurisdiction of the court.

4. Our constitution expressly states that our elections be conducted by ballot. Does it include e-voting? (check out the dictionary meaning of ballot) Good luck to you all
