15th June, 2015.
Today, Monday, June 15 marks the beginning of the 2015 BECE for some 438, 030 students comprising 229,724 males and 208,306 females who are expected to sit for this year's exams. In the light of this, the leadership of National Union of Ghana Students wishes to on behalf of the Union humbly join all well wishers to wish them the best of LUCK in their papers.
We are very much aware of the difficulties they've been through in copping with their books amidst this seemingly intractable power crisis bedeviling the nation. Nonetheless, the Union is very hopeful that their sacrifices and endurances over the years will not be in vain. We wish to congratulate them in advance for a successful feat.
As we wish them success in the impending exams, we also wish to admonish them to strictly adhere to all the examination rules and regulations and eschew
every act of examination malpractice that might mar the beauty of this all important exercise in their educational journey and possibly put them at the wrong side of the law.
The union takes due cognizance of the assurances given by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and the Ministry of Education of a satisfactory preparations and arrangements to ensure an uninterrupted process and wishes to commend them on that.
We further wish to implore the candidates, who are of course our constituents, to be very confident in themselves and upbeat of a successful engagement.
It is once again our wish and prayer that they find the examination very 'easy' and accordingly come out with flying colours that would give pride to their parents or guardians, their respective schools and indeed the Nation at large.
Thank you.
Signed.
